Teachers Day Buffet

We had our advance lunch buffet for Teachers Day, care of our boss (of course!) It was in Cafe Carousel in Royal Plaza Hotel along Scotts Road. The place is very nice and the all the foods are mouth watering, especially the dessert area!!! Its an international buffet and so there's a lot of delicacies to choose from. I never stood up and get some food by myself, I always go with my friend (co-teacher) and often gets what she will be getting! Haha! I am not sure how many times we stood up from our table and grabbed foods, 4 or 5 times!? Everytime we will stand up from our table, we will comeback with 2 plates! Haha! I'm not really good with buffets since I eat fast. This time I tried to slow down a bit because my friend eats slower. Haha! But she often gets more food than me.

But compared to our other workmates who are Chinese, you wouldn't believe how much they can eat! Everytime they will get food, they'll be back with just one plate with a mountain of food on it! Most of them are very skinny, I wonder where they store those pasta, soup, sushis, tempura, steaks and sweets! Hahaha!



I enjoyed the dessert area the most! I really love seeing chocolate flowing from the chocolate fountain. So everytime we will pass by that side, I will take out my camera hoping to get a nicer photograph. Kasi naman andami tao, di maka-solo pic! haha! One guy (who works there) saw us and care to take our picture. We handed him the camera and off we pose! After he took our picture, we friend asked him:

Friend: are you pinoy?
Guy: I am half pinoy
Friend: Ow, so what's your lastname, Karlson?
Guy: Kim
Us: ah, you're half korean / chinese?
Guy: No, I am half pinoy, half pinay.
Me: LOL! (sinasabi ko na nga ba eh!)
Friend: Picture tayo! (to gay)
Gay: Ay artista?!
Friend and Me: Kami din papicture sayo!
Gay: wow ha, (pero smile naman xa)



Gay took a picture of our group after eating and then he gave us his calling card. LOL! Ang benta lang ng bading sakin! May gay magnet na ko haha!


REALIZATION: This is the third guy/gay na nami-meet ko dito sa Singapore! What's the meaning of this!?

who's on the phone?

One morning, I was looking after the boys from the other class while my toddlers were having their chinese class. The boys from the nursery class were playing with me while the nursery girls were taking a shower. One student came to me with a toy on his ears pretending it is a cellphone. He handed me over his "cellphone" and told me to talk and say hello. I said "hello" on the phone and then asked the student who's on the phone. He said, "your boyfriend". I asked him again, "who's on the phone!?". Again he said "boyfriend!". I was laughing in front of him thinking of what to say. Haha! Na-speechless? Sa isip ko lang, "wish ko lang no! sana si crush" LOL!

weekend

I used to look forward on weekends... But since I'm away from home, family, and friends I feel like my weekend is just a torture day for me. This was the only time that I am wishing (sometimes) that I have work on weekends. I have Saturday work once a month, but usually I don't know what to do or where to go after that. I only love weekends because I can sleep a little longer than weekdays. Well, an hour or two longer. My workplace is near the 3 malls in Tampines and I am so over and bored on those 3 malls already.

I don't have any friends near my place here in Singapore. Most of the people that I know here in this country has their other friends with them. Unlucky me. How I wish I could bring all my favorite friends here. Hanging out with friends on weekends is what I miss the most. No need to go to the malls, just staying inside the house or fooling around outside on the street together is already super fun.

everybody wants you...

You are so unpredictable.

Whenever I feel like giving up already on crush, he would suddenly make you feel his presence thru his text messages. I'm feeling hopeless not because he did or said something to me, but because of this mushroom girl! Remember, she added me on facebook. I don't know why, maybe because wants to stalk me because she also likes crush. There was a time where we talked on facebook chat about her and her work. Of course crush is also a part of our conversation. And she's like, "oh ya, me and crush were trying to pass an application on that nursing job in Singapore". Now I'm jealous. I also mentioned that crush was trying to save money to buy an iTouch when she mentioned that they also talked about that iPod thing before and they might buy together at the same time! Paker! haha! Then I teased her "sabay talaga bibili eh, haha, saan ba kayo bibili?" Binawi bigla haha, "naku, di naman talaga sabay, nagkataon lang na gusto namin pareho ng iPod, eh wala naman pareho pambili pa haha" WEHHH :P

They used to work on the same hospital (it was last year, i think, then crush transferred) but not anymore. Now she mentioned that she just left her work and would try to apply in the hospital where crush is working now. WTF! If her goal is to make me jealous, she won already. She sounds nice on our chat, it's just me who makes her look bad. Sorry! My heart is already aching talking to her about crush. Sometimes I feel like deleting her, haha! Bitter!? But I won't do that since I don't want to look bad you know. :p

On the other side, crush is making me feel good like always! Though I miss him everyday... Haha... Sometimes I think that I miss him more than my brother, sister, mom and dad! Haha! Am I exaggerated/ing? Well, I don't know about that. What I'm sure of is that I like him, no, I love him so much! Hahaha! Saveeeh!

IELTS = check!

Done taking my IELTS test! I'm not that confident on the speaking test part... I don't know much about historical buildings! I ran out of words to say... waaa!

Results will be out after 13 days... I'm so nervous! Waaa! Well at least it's done! But still, I need to get that score!

Dora and her shoulder bag

Today I went to the testing site where I'll be taking my IELTS exam next Saturday. I planned to visit the place before hand since I am not familiar with the place so I won't get lost or won't be late on the exam day. It's in Singapore Management University, located at Victoria St. Singapore. It's quite far from where I am staying. I had to take the MRT for 40-50 minutes and then 10minutes walking going outside to the venue.

I planned this exploring trip last week. On the map given by the British Council, the testing site is just across this old catholic church which I am also planning to visit When I asked my boss on how to get to the venue, she mentioned that there's another catholic church nearby the SMU. So if I have time, I can check it out myself. The place where I attend mass here near my place is not really a church, it's just a building.

After familiarizing myself with the routes to the school, I crossed the street and visited the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd. It was nice seeing a church like that. When I went inside and sat down for a while, I looked around and it felt like I was in the Philippines! I prayed for a while and then walked back going to the other side of the road, into the other church, the Church of St. Joseph. This one is bigger than the first church, it's color blue and it also looks like a church in the Philippines.

This morning, before taking off on my adventure, crush texted me that he is in the hospital. Not for work, but he's the patient now. Like WTH happened to you!? He said that he'll undergo an operation at 1pm. I didn't understand the term that he mentioned on why he's being operated. But the thing is that HE IS IN THE HOSPITAL, NOT AS A NURSE ON DUTY BUT A PATIENT!!! Now I have another reason to visit those churches along the way. ^_^

Ayoko na ikwento yung nabasa ko sa facebook, PARANOID lang siguro ako pagdating sa mga froglets ni crush. :P

Crush texted me the next morning, I was not expecting anymore that he's gonna send me a text like that. Kainis lang, nagising ako eh! haha!

September soon!

I was skype-ing with my family last night. Mybrother told me that he has no school on the week of my birthday. So I asked him to visit me here, my dad will pay for his airfare haha! Well, instead of me flying back there, mabibitin lang ako! haha! Hope that he will visit me even just for the weekend... hay... I also wanted my dad and sister to visit me here on their semestral break since he has to go back to work before November so he will be able to come home again on the 1st death anniversary of Lola on June 2012. Hmmm...

What am I gonna do on my birthday? Who's gonna be with me on that day? I don't know if I will be feeling happy or sad on that day... This is going to be the first time that I will be celebrating my birthday far away from home and friends and love ones....

Agosto

It's August already, and usually this is the time that I will realize that I will be getting a year older soon! September is next to August... it's time to look back again...

Here are the questions that runs thru my head now:
1. How do I get in this situation now?
2. What are the things that I accomplished the past few years?
3. What are the mistakes that I should be correcting right now
4. Where else did I fail, why did I failed?
5. Who are the people that made an impact in my life right now?
6. Am I regretting anything? What!?
7. Am I happy of where I am / what am I doing right now?
8. What is/are the most stupid thing(s) I've done during my 21st year? Haha!
9. What are the memorable things / events that I had during my 21st year of life?
10. Looking forward for my 22nd year! What's gonna happen? haha!

I don't know what year I started to think like this whenever my birthday is coming! Haha! Do I sound like I'm being paranoid? Oh yes, my conscience said. Haha.
